Company Video: Custom Packaging Printing and Finishing

Video

This page carries our company video. It is the shortest way to see the operation before you send a specification. The notes below cover what a short video cannot: the finishes we quote, how quality is checked, and what happens between your first message and the shipment.

Printing and Finishing You Can Ask Us to Quote

Custom paper packaging is specified by stock, print and finish rather than by a single product name. On stock we work with art paper, kraft, silver card, and synthetic paper such as PE and PET. On finishing we quote foil stamping in gold, silver, red gold and laser silver; spot UV; matte and gloss lamination; embossing; and holographic laser-silver effects. Plastic trays are thermoformed. Which combination suits a box depends on what the box has to survive and what it has to look like on a shelf, and those two answers do not always point the same way. A matte laminate reads quieter and resists fingerprints better than gloss, but it scuffs more on a box that is handled repeatedly. A foil is the fastest way to lift a plain white carton, but it needs enough clear area around it to register cleanly. We would rather settle that before artwork than correct it after proofing.

How Quality Is Checked at Four Gates

Quality is checked at four points. Incoming material is checked against the specification before production starts. The first article off the run is measured against the approved proof and sample, and the run does not continue until it matches. In-process random sampling is taken through the run, not only at the end. Final inspection follows an AQL plan, after which defective pieces are isolated and counted out of the shipment. A short video can show a machine running; it cannot show you a first-article check. That is why the QC record travels with the order.

From Enquiry to Sample to Production

A quotation takes 24 hours and is free. Design is free as well: one to three options in two to three working days, with two to three rounds of revision included. A physical sample takes one to three business days, made on the specified stock with the specified finishes. Bulk production takes seven to fifteen business days from artwork and deposit confirmation. Boxes, cards and plastic trays start at 100 pcs, paper bags at 100 pcs, labels at 1,000 pcs, and flexible packaging at 500 pcs.

What a Video Cannot Show You

Colour is the obvious one. A phone camera, a monitor and a compressed stream all shift colour, and a red that looks correct on screen can read dull on kraft stock. Finishing is the second: foil reflectivity and the depth of an emboss do not survive video compression. Weight and stiffness are the third, and they are usually the reason a box feels solid or cheap in the hand. For all three the answer is a physical sample, not a longer video. Treat the video as a way to judge whether an operation looks organised, and the sample as the way to judge whether the packaging is right.

Request a Sample or a Quote

Send the product type, size, stock, print and finishing, quantity and target date, and you will have a quotation within 24 hours. If you are still deciding between two finishes, say so and we will quote both, so the difference is visible in numbers rather than in adjectives.
